Baby boys' nursery is finished! We are sharing a room so I did not have a ton of space to work with which made the entire process easy and quick! All I need left to add is the crib which will be in front of the empty wall, next to the accordion hanger. I am so excited to have my little roommate join me soon!
I am genuinely in love with how it all turned out. Each piece means something special to me (bear with me because I am going to explain why below) such as The Doe and Her Fawn print, "I love you so..." banner, the striped swaddle blanket, and the drawing with my nephew, Jr, with Christ to name a few.
The Doe and Her Fawn print is special for an obvious reason. In case you did not know, that is the name of my website and it is something that has identified us both in this online world. I always knew I wanted to get a print like that in the nursery and crazy enough, one of my friends read my mind and gave it to me as a gift! Love that it all worked out.
If you know me, you know that I have always loved babies because they are so stinkin' adorable! With my nieces and nephews, I always had the tendency to nibble on their cheeks and say, "I can just eat them! They are so cute!" Although the quote "I'll eat you up I love you so" comes from the children's book Where The Wild Things Are, there is no doubt I will want to "eat" my baby up like I did with my nieces and nephews. It only made sense to request the banner to be made and could not be happier with it. Thank you so much Autumn Rose!
Curls and Cuddles reached out to me and asked if I wanted to collaborate with them. After checking out their products, I could not have said yes any faster! They have many different prints for both boys and girls which are all so ADORABLE! I decided to go with something simple and once it arrived, I was even more amazed. IT IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE SWADDLE BLANKET I HAVE EVER FELT! I am not even kidding. It melts my heart to know that is what my baby will be wrapped in once he is born. If you are expecting or know of someone who is expecting, check out Curls and Cuddles and order something from there. You will not regret it.
Now the drawing of my nephew, Jr, with Christ only felt right to include. Jr impacted my life in many ways and am sad that he and my boy will not meet here on earth. His portrait will forever remind me of all the joy Jr made me feel and am going to teach my son all about his cousin and why he was/is so incredible. One of my favorite things about Jr was that he never failed to smile despite going through cancer. That has taught me to keep moving forward with a positive perspective no matter what I am going through in life. I miss him so much and am thankful for my friend Lexy for drawing him with Christ so perfectly.
I did not plan to have the nursery done this early but do not mind at all that it happened this way. It only makes me more excited and ready to have my boy here with me. May cannot come soon enough!
Thank you so much for reading. Until next time, friends.
Much love,
