This week I celebrated my 22nd birthday and baby 22 weeks in my belly! Is it just me or do birthdays' get weirder and weirder as you get older? It feels like another regular day to me! Maybe I just need like a WOW factor to happen in my life and get some excitement back because it is pretty plain for me right now haha. My birthday, overall, was spent feeling loved and spoiled from my family and friends. I woke up to my mom wishing me a happy birthday and ordering a few online dresses as a birthday present! I then got ready for the day and went to go eat lunch with two of my close friends at one of my favorite restaurants in my town. The rest of the day was pretty chill. I took some time to relax and visit my sister and her family. Towards the end of the night, another dear friend came to visit me and we talked for HOURS! Such a great day.
My baby boy and I also celebrated 22 weeks of having him inside of me (on Monday to be exact)! He is measuring 11 inches long and is almost a pound! My pregnancy apps say he is roughly the size of a spaghetti squash. Baby boy is getting stronger and stronger, and I am feeling every movement from him more intensely. I finally got a decent video where it is actually focused on my belly and you can see some movement going (I'll attach the video below) because I swear he knows when I record because he stops once I pull the camera out. That little stinker! I truly look forward to seeing those alien movements in the next short weeks. Even though it looks super creepy, I have to admit it also looks awesome!

On a good note, I am officially planning the baby shower! I have a theme, date, and place! I am so stinkin' excited because I have always loved baby showers. I decided to have it some time in March, 2 months before I am due, simply because I do not want to be super huge and uncomfortable on the day of my baby shower, plus it will be nice to have a whole month (April) to get last minute things and have the month of May to relax and prepare for baby to arrive.
Although there are many things I am looking forward to, one of the things that is currently scaring me is preterm labor! Ugh! I am having nightmares and find myself looking up the survival statistics of babies being born around this time and all I can hope and pray for is that baby stays cooking inside of me for AT LEAST 16 more weeks! Wow. Feels like a long time once I write it out, but anything to keep this little one as healthy as can be!
