HALFWAY THERE

Monday, January 8, 2018

Hi, friends! It feels so weird not publishing multiple posts a week, but I just haven’t felt inspired to blog about anything.

But this is a new week and it is a a special one because baby and I hit a huge milestone! I'm talking about hitting the halfway mark. So, so crazy! Most days have felt like time has gone by so slow but as I look back, it’s flown by!

20 weeks. Wow. You know, I truly regret not making bump-date posts every week and especially taking weekly bump pictures, but oh well.

How far along: 20 weeks!

Size of baby: BANANA (10 inches & 10.6 ounces).

Must have items:
  • Palmers Tummy Butter. I have been using this for a few weeks now and it has helped reduce the redness of my stretch marks!

Sleep: So hard! I’m tired during the day and am likely to take a nap, but at night I AM WIDE AWAKE! I really need to get one of those pregnancy pillows because sleeping is getting uncomfortable with all the back pain! A regular pillow between my legs has been helpful. I can’t imagine how it’ll be in the third trimester!

Cravings: Honestly, I haven’t been craving much of anything! It’s so hard for me to find something to eat.

Baby movement: Yes! I feel movement the most at night when I’m laying down. I just place my hand on my lower tummy and can feel him move. No kicks or gymnastic moves yet, but I think I will get to that in no time.

Gender: BOY! See gender reveal announcement HERE. It has been so fun to know what I’m having because this past week I have bought some clothes and can now prepare for the baby shower and nursery! So exciting.

Names: I thought about names all this week. It’s so hard naming a human! I want to LOVE the name because this is what I’ll be calling him for the rest of his life and nothing is really sticking to me yet. I think I might just have to wait until I see him in person!

Challenges this week: I think this goes for every week, but definitely seeing my body change. Stretch marks are coming out in full force. I know my face and feet will most likely get swollen by the third trimester and the rest of my body will just get bigger. I don’t think I’m mentally and emotionally ready for that.

Best moment this week: Being at the HALFWAY mark in my pregnancy! If I can make it 20 weeks this easy, surely I can make it 20 more! 😉 I just want to meet my little guy already.

Thank you so much for reading! I'm currently working on a blog post on "mommy must-haves"! I’m collaborating with some amazing companies and cannot wait for you guys to see!

Much love,
