FIRST TRIMESTER RECAP

These images were taken in September soon after I found out I was pregnant! That was not my official baby bump, that was all BLOAT! But I promise a little tiny bean was in there cooking :)

Hi, my sweet friends. It's been too long! These last 5 months have been overwhelming in a lot bad ways. Life has been so hard and maybe some time in the future I'll write about it, but the important thing right NOW is that I'm healing and getting better. And I'm pregnant. That is one of the main reasons why I'm returning, so I can document my pregnancy journey!

I'm currently in my second trimester, so this post is a recap from my first trimester (which is from the time of conception to 13 weeks) with some questions! YAY! 

BABY IS THE SIZE OF: Oh man, the baby started as the size of a lentil to a key lime!

MATERNITY CLOTHES: Nope! I was bloated from the very beginning, but it was never big enough for me to switch jean size or anything like that. I would always wear leggings or sweats just because it was more comfortable.  

MOVEMENT: Sadly, no. It's completely normal though because baby was so little, I couldn't feel him/her yet. Towards the end of the trimester I promise you I felt some flutters.

BEST MOMENT: Seeing baby for the first time at my 8 week appointment!!! I heard the heartbeat for the first time as well that day and it was just so magical. At that time I still couldn't believe I had a little jelly bean growing inside of me. 

MISS ANYTHING: My energy! I felt a lot of cramps around 4 weeks up until 7 weeks and that was so weird! It literally felt like my period was coming and I questioned if I was actually pregnant haha. I was also so tired up to 12 weeks. I've never taken so many naps in my life!

FOOD CRAVINGS: Hot Cheetos! And any types of chips. I didn't crave any specific food and around 9 weeks was when I began to get morning sickness so just the THOUGHT of food made me want to vomit.

ANYTHING MAKE YOU QUEASY: Like I mentioned, a lot of food made me so nauseous! I haven't been able to eat a lot of Chorizo which is one of my favorite things that I include in my meals so that sucked.

WEIGHT GAIN: I started off at 150lbs and by 10 weeks I was 158lbs. I had gain most of weight in a short amount of time because of all the junk food I was eating. NOT good at all! But ever since I began having morning sickness, I went back down to 153lbs. I'm doing a lot better with eating healthier. Not healthy, just healthier. 

STRETCH MARKS: I noticed one tiger mark on each side of my love handles. I don't care for stretch marks because I've had them from a young age! But I'll definitely consider applying coconut oil if I ever start getting them on my belly.

HAPPY OR MOODY: Moody. It's been really hard to feel happy because of some life events that occurred recently. I'm getting a lot better and am definitely getting excited to meet my little one.

SYMPTOMS: Cramps, peeing frequently, and fatigue. Luckily, I didn't feel any more cramps after the first few weeks!

LOOKING FORWARD TO: Seeing more of my baby in ultrasounds!

I can't wait to update you all on my second trimester! This pregnancy started off SO slow and now it's flying by. I am definitely cherishing every moment. Until next time friends!
