OREGON ROAD TRIP + VIDEO

I had a very good and much needed conversation with Wesley a few nights ago. I was talking to him about how much I missed our adventures/road trips and that I yearned for one soon. He told me his concerns and how we shouldn't really be spending because we're trying to finish our wedding preparations. He had a very good point, but being the stubborn person that I am, I told him that I still wanted to go out and have a great time with him because with all the stress that the wedding is putting on us, a getaway would be nice for our souls. So we said, why not?!

The only things you'll regret in life are the risks you didn't take.

Our first stop was Columbia River Gorge in Washington, right by the bridge to cross into Oregon. Wesley proposed to me around this location and it was so sweet to go back to the spot where he asked me to be his forever. It wasn't as beautiful as it was last April because there were no wildflowers bloomed, but still so special!

We stopped at every viewpoint we saw, and even walked down this trail, climbed a fence, and stood/sat on a rock that overlooked the river and watched a train pass by. My adrenaline was pumping and I couldn't believe what I was doing! I love adventures, but I'm not a daredevil! So climbing fences and standing on rocks is scary for me! But Wesley was so helpful and protective, I felt okay doing what I would be so terrified at first.

We were arriving to Portland when we realized that we hadn't eaten anything, so I googled pizza places in Portland and saw that Eat Pizza was rated good so we stopped there.

Let me just say... BEST. PIZZA. HANDS. DOWN.

We got a whole size (8 slices for 2 people) and I ate 3!!! I never eat 3! I always get tired after the 1st or 2nd, but dang it was so delicious. I wish we had the time to explore more of Portland, but I wanted to go to the beach more, so the city will have to wait. I already have planned what I want to visit next time: Powell's Library, Salt & Straw, etc. **If you're from Oregon, recommend me some places to visit. I'd greatly appreciate! :)

Our last stop: Cannon Beach! The sun was shining all day and the sky was so blue! I couldn't believe it because it is pretty much ALWAYS raining whenever I go to the Oregon Coast. So the nice weather was a miracle to us and the warmth + the breeze felt so nice!

We saw so many dogs and it gave me doggy fever. Same thing as baby fever, but for dogs HA! I just kept imagining having a life with Wesley there. Every house is gorgeous, downtown is so cute, and to live so close to the beach would be a dream. But it can only be that... a dream. For right now at least. Who knows what life can have in store for us. :)

Overall, this day couldn't have been any better. I am so glad we made this last minute decision to do this! We drove my brother's car which worked out great because it saved us a ton of gas. Honestly, we spent about $30 in gas (thanks bro for having the tank already filled :P) and $20 in food. Such a good deal for the memories that were made. It's crazy to think that the next adventure we'll take will be our honeymoon and I couldn't be any more excited!

Here is a video from our trip. I'm making it a goal to record as much as possible every time we go on a trip. Pictures are sweet, but watching a video and looking back on that day will make it even sweeter. I'm no Videographer or YouTuber so don't judge my video and editing skills hehe. And there is some glitches with the video, but eh, it still works for me! :)

Enjoy! xx
